I have a number of Taurus revolvers. I have found that the lifetime warranty is country specific. This one was bought in the UK. No warranty here.

I have had the same problem with Taurus I bought in the USA.

I got a set of four borescopes of different sizes from an ad on FaceBook in spring for $99 & 16 bucks shipping from China. Smallest is 3.9mm and largest 10.5mm, all LED lit, plug into my phone for power and display. So cheap they’re effectively disposable, and I can inspect everything from a .22 barrel to a 12ga. Well worth looking around some of the ads on FB, or do some googling

I make a whip out of a piece of dowl or cheap chop stick. Just cut a slit in the end and feed a slim strip of 1000 grit emery cloth through it. Fix it in your drill and buff back and forth.
This would be how I would do it, I have polished many a burr out of million+ dollar equipment this way. It is the billion dollar machine shop approved method ;). If nothing is happening 400-600 grit might speed things up. polishing compound is usually 2000+ grit which is not enough to knock down those "hills". valve grinding compound can get stuck in the "valleys" and dig them deeper.

I get the cylinder back from the machinist today. he said he was going to buff it with some powder - whatever that means.

In the meantime, Tactical Lever send me 4 bars of polishing compounds, with the instructions. I have buff wheel on my Dremel, so will put these to work. Feed ramps all need polishing.

Than you for the compounds, tactical lever.

Note: I got the cylinder back from the machinist. he polished 2 chambers and ran a light buff through the other 4. All rounds now extract easily.

Here is how the bad one looks now

Got my scope in the mail yesterday. Played with it last night. Very easy to set up and to use. Bores definitely look different than with the old eyeball. I looked down the bore of a 52/57 I haven't fired for a long time. Yikes! :sok2

You're most welcome! Hope you can put them to good use.

I got my scope in the mail too ( thanks Ganderite for the link to the scope)
Looked at the 223 wylde barrel on my wk 180 and couldn’t believe how crappy that barrel is
The rifling appears to fade in and out in spots and from the gas port forwards I was amazed at the copper buildup
Rifle maybe has 250 rounds through it

Yes. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

I returned from the range yesterday, having tested some 357s with hot loads using lead bullets.

One of the barrels was badly leaded, according to the handy borescope:

I then scrubbed the barrel using some ChoreBoy on a bronze brush. I could tell by the crap coming out on my desk that it was working.
