Bison attacks...

Perhaps your getting my point all wrong...

No, you're pretty straight forward with your words. You feel no empathy for a child that was rag dolled in the air and could've died. Most people would feel empathy, you don't, therefore there is something wrong with you, not us. I'm not saying you're a sociopath, but maybe you need to work on something. Not a single animal life is worth more than a child's.

Did anyone care to read the whole thing? Or as per usual, read first sentence, get outraged and comment.

I read the whole thing the first time and then read it again a second time. My opinion is still the same.

I guess my point has been lost, lol. The “stupid games stupid prizes” is not my intention. More of, “we killed a crap load of bison, leave em alone”

You're very bad at making points.

Edit: Also, it's weird that you felt the need to make a post about this. Were you expecting us to join hands with you and be glad a kid almost died because of the actions of some people 200 years ago? It also has nothing to do with hunting.

You're probably just desensitized from too much internets..

You’re probably right... all the shocking imagery I never thought of or, never intentionally wanted to see all at my finger tips.

I don’t know what scruffee is getting on about... He multi-quoted so he must be upping his virtue signal.

Thought I would post as I’m just as shocked as others... whatever, lay off them internets I suppose. Unlike others I can at least admit it instead of being full of sheet!

We're your ancestors famous Bufallo killers?

Seems like you are expressing some sort of inherited guilt complex combined with a bit of trolling of the "think of the children...." crowd.

To quote Greta.... "HOW DARE YOU!"

Just curious. Am I the only one?

I watched a video of a 9 year old girl getting charged and tossed into the air by a Bison... to be honest I felt nothing. No sympathy towards the girl. I’m glad she wasn’t killed but, I felt nothing.

Usually with wild animal attack I’ll feel some sort of empathetic emotion, but not with a bison attack. Is that human guilt?

In a situation like this, I usually feel disgust for the parents that let it happen.

Should have been a herd stampeding over anyone over 16 years old.. kid was told she was safe by some ###### citiots... bet the same goofs complain about people not social distancing and narc on those not wearing masks too.

The girl wasn't out there on her own.

Just a way out there thought but maybe the adults involved should be the ones getting scrutinized?

I feel bad that she is involved with irresponsible adults.

Some people shouldn't be parents, or some parents shouldn't take their children out of their Liberal based cities.

In the late 80's I worked for a summer in Jasper Park for my Uncle when he was building new units at his lake resort...I remember seeing a tourist telling his child (about age 5) to go pet the bear and he would take a picture.

In no uncertain terms I told this retard what I thought about his idea.

Some people just don't get it ....:(

Lot of people shouldn't breed. That said, the amount of people who do stupid schitt when they see wildlife up close and personal is astonishing. I've watched idiots get chased and tossed by bison when they're trying to get closer for "a better pic". People are generally stupid, look around any gathering. - dan

Cold be, lol.

Of perhaps I’m just upset because I missed out on some tasty free ranged bison.

And if it was your kid? BeaverMeat

Wouldn’t happen under my watch.

I think you are missing a trend in this thread, more people agree with Scruffee than you. Not sure you know what virtue signal is if you think that is why you have been called out. In your original post you asked for people's opinions, if you can't handle the truth don't ask the question.

You are missing the point of my post, see what I did there?

Regardless, if you openly say you have no empathy for an injured child, regardless of the context or the point you are trying to make it is very poor form to think it and even worse if you post it on a public forum.

Sometimes things are better left unsaid.

So you are essentially saying, "they deserved it"

I've seen many smart people do stupid stuff in very simple every day situations. I've been very stupid in some very simple situations myself, more often than I'd like to admit, and I've probably been stupid in situations, and in a way, that I don't even recognize, but somebody was watching me thinking "what a *** idiot!".

Few years ago we were vacationing in AB/BC and were going to check out Stanley Glacier Trail. Parked our car, got ready for short hike and head down the trail. About 200-300m in, we notice a bear up the trail, maybe another 50m away, could have been further, but looked/felt close. We decide to leave Stanley Glacier for another day. When we were about to leave the parking lot, another car pulls up and a family gets out and is about to head down the trail. I tell the dad that there is a bear on the trail and he just says "yeah" and keeps going. I repeat that there's a bear on the trail and it could be dangerous. After my second comment I pretty much see wires connect and light bulb light up when my message actually reaches its destination. I would have thought he was stupid if I told him once and he kept going, but his brain was still driving or doing something else.

I agree... probably should have kept it to myself... but, open discussion of uncomfortable or offensive subjects is healthy. To be honest I never watch “snuff” videos. I did work with a guy that would show me all sorts of horrid crap and I hated seeing it as empathy would set in

Wondered across this video after studying the “great bison slaughter” of the 1800s. Perhaps an emotional response transferred over against my fellow man. The human deserved it. So you are perhaps correct... I can see now how extreme animal rights activists get all uppity.

I've run into guys on sheep hunts who told me similar stories, including one notorious outfitter, who even posted a sign to discourage people from "their" spot. I've gotten Blase about them, but there's a round up the spout.

I don't know the kid or parents: if it's one of those spoiled brat kids that gets their way all the time I'd probably feel the same way the OP confessed to feeling... "I don't care." Even though I'm like anyone else, once in a while you go through that time where you feel very apathetic about the world. I'm not so inclined to share most feelings as they are just that: feelings, not influences on actions. Obviously there are trolls on this board and I'd leave the OP with the caveat not to feed them anything for the simple reason that it's easier to keep some things than to explain basic human emotions to an idiot. It's not hard to relate given the amount of crap being shoveled in the west today so becoming blase and not caring is an easy route to take but should be avoided... it is important to remember the role of deceitful media sucking up to the flavour this month: it'll be a relief when they get tired of tilting at the current windmills. It'll be a miracle when they return to proper journalism and reporting instead of this sensationalist and inaccurate BS that is destroying liberty.

Question for OP: are you a BLM member or sympathizer? given that the kid is a 9yo black girl, it would make perfect sense you not care... a BoweL Movement activist hosed an 8yo black girl a month ago in Atlanta, Georgia. (I'm not seriously suggesting that... just taking a stab at those hypocritical fruit cakes)

I can see how "oh don't go there, there's a grizzly with cubs, and handfull of mountain lions" could be used. Not the case here.
