Wow that is a cool rifle! 300 Savage is a great cartridge. Had the CDL SF in 7mm-08 and a .257 Wby Mag, both were great shooters. Currently have the 700 LSS black laminate in 25-06, really accurate rifle!

Enjoy your new rifle!

Like the idea but not all the lipstick on the floor plate. Kinda makes it a Winchester Commerative. Just my opinion.

.300 Savage is a great roun however. I have 2.

The clip bottom is the ideal place for any etchings, be it instructions or art work, IMO.

'Cause it can only be seen from the underneath, and you gotta be looking for it.

Very nice rifle Gord, in a chambering that is time-proven.
I have an original M700 "Classic" in 300 Savage, one of the
most accurate factory rifles I own. Dave.

Hey Gord .... That is a cool rifle, right there.

I always thought the 300 Savage is underrated for deer hunting these days. It was actually very modern for it's time and now still. One of those 1st gen Model Sevens would be perfect in 300 Savage (or 35Remington).

One thing I do like about that rifle is the proper recoil pad. Remington has been putting those bigger thick squishy pads on these days that are about 1.25" thick.

They look like someone screwed a spare tire on the end of the rifle. Yours is much nicer.
