That looks like a real one! What is the finish to make the receiver look like steel and not plastic? Please post some more photos when you have a chance!

It’s just a primer + high gloss black rattle can. My filling and sanding work is not exactly perfect but good enough for my standards. I figure a real mp5 is just a stamped and painted sheet metal gun anyways.

I have an airsoft magazine coming to try and gut to put over a gsg magazine.

I would also like a pictograph lower, and at that point I think I could call it done.

It’s there any retractable stock that have full metal construction ? I don’t like the plastic CYMA

Yup G&G. Minor 2 minute fitting and it works awesome. Is all aluminum except for the rubber butt pad.

Well mines comes off apart in 3 pieces. The drum is separate then the other 2 parts. So I sanded down the bottom of the drum. Lowering the POI. But it wasn't enough when I tested it today. So I sanded down more to get another full turn... But then the threaded piece obstructed the peep. So I sanded that down as well.

So next time I'm out, ill bring my front posts and see where it zeros now.

I kinda wonder if I shoulda went with a flat black, but at this point I’m basically done. I have a more traditional handguard in the mail and I might grab a pictogram lower eventually. I’m also gonna try to put an airsoft mag over a mag to complete the look as I mentioned.

Since you romoved that upper rail, are your diopter sights accurate now?

My diopter sights are just for looks only

I'm painting mine as well now. The greyish black plastic from factory just doesn't look right. I'm just finishing my stock and handguard and will post up some photos once ready

I think I can use the diopter sights based on my laser boresighter. I’ll have to take some spare front posts for tweaking when I go shoot it.

Hello, I'm in the process of modding my gsg 16. I'm waiting on my isc rear sight, furniture and push pins. I modded my own rail delete and drilled the useless mp5 top rail from the conversion kit as you can see in pics.

I'm looking for the member who is selling the rear top rail like that which will fit the drum rear sight.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Well I used the tallest front and my diopter sight. And was shooting 12" high at 25m. I had to shave down the rear drum. And looking at pics your drum sits the same on the reciever.

I can go a bit lower with it if need be, I filled in the body under the sight but if it’s that far off I would have to try something else.

From the receiver ( Where the sight base sits ) to the lowest peep hole. .640 should get you within 3" at 25M. With the tallest front post the GSG kit comes with.

Anyone still using the original forend? I'm just wondering what's the best way to shave off those nubs that hold the screws for the pic rails. Also, for those that did, what did you use to fill the hole? Epoxy? Thank you

I didn’t take those off, but I used a rasp, then a file, then sandpaper for the material I removed.
