hey gents i purchased a tourbon recoil pad to put on my Whelen now ive sanded her back an what not.
the question is, the recoil pad isnt exactly the same shape, a bit thinner in the base of the butt, enough for say a mm each side an creates a sharpish lip.
What would you do in this position?
Sand the wood stock down to fit in a subtle way?
put some maybe bondo type filler around the pad?
not worrry too much?
It also has no holes for the screws, i was thinking of putting screws just thru the pad into the wood with some glue type between pad and butt?
il post a photo once i get her on tonight. i like it haha
its such a pitty the rugers bolts weigh as much as the bare rifle. eh.
