Looking to start assembling pieces for a long action build for next summer. I have my eye on 2 actions, 1 I own the short action version, the other is the Tenacity. I'm curious if anyone is running one of these actions in a long action or even a short action. How is the bolt lift, does it bind, does it lock up when dirty, trigger compatibility, etc? It seems like a good value, but I would like to hear from some actual users. Thanks.

I built my 300WM on a Deviant Tactical, which is more or less the same, the Tenacity is just produced as far as I know with a set of standard spec's. If you already own a Defiance action, then with the Tenacity your in for much of the same for quality and performance. Bolt lift is fine, however I haven't been out in the field yet? I've handled there Ruckus action and there isn't much difference between mine and it? if that helps?

I'll be building a 6.5 PRC on a Ruckus action in the fall, with the Ruckus you can still order the hvy tang and deep bolt fluting, I"m not sure if that's an available option(s) with the Tenacity?

Thanks for the reply. I haven't handled any defiance actions. My current action is an ARC nucleus, so a 3 lug, control round feed. I think the current feature set is fine for my usage on the tenacity, more curious about function and feel.

I think the big difference is that most Defiance actions are built to order, whereas the Tenacity is produced with standard features and put on the shelf, IIRC there is no "build" time with it, as they make them and they are "in stock" most of the time. I've done the "trued" 700 action and bolt, but now with the price of a Defiance, it's not really worth it? depending on your time and what the "donor" action costs. You won't be disappointed in Defiance quality and performance. You can also change out the bolt knob now, which is a nice feature.

Yeah the one I'm looking at is an in stock item. I agree the price on some of the custom actions these days make dumping a bunch of cash into a rem 700 action kind of obselete. I will wait and see if any tenacity owners pop in with their first hand experience.
