Go shooting with a non reloader.

I have dies for every single calibre I own except for 9mm, .223 Rem, and 8x56R (specifically because finding the right diameter bullets is a chore).

I have the option of having a rifle chambered in nearly any calibre imaginable. I have the ability to reduce the cost of shooting, sometimes drastically depending on calibre and commercial cost. I can manufacture ammunition of superior quality and specifically tailored for my intended use.

Most importantly, its another shooting-related activity that allows me to enjoy the sport I love in another completely different way.

I'll only buy ammo if its in bulk calibres like 9mm and 5.56, or if I'm desperate for ammo.

Yes,keeping that VW Tiguan on the road eats up a lot of ones time.

I shoot 100 rounds twice a week. It takes me about an hour a week reloading those 200 rounds. I’m sure anyone who says they don’t have time for reloading spends more time each week browsing CGN while on the sh!tter.

Depending on what one shoots and why, reloading may be a waste of time and money or one of the best ways to save and shoot a lot.

Hunting? Zero the rifle and go out for a hunt? A box of ammo could last a few years. Most hunting seasons I've fired one shot and spent the next hour or so field dressing and lugging to the vehicle.

Target shooting? Up to 100 rounds for an ISSF pistol match (sighters, competition rounds, finals) or depending on the match double that, practice 3-4 times per week, and if you're shooting (say) .32 S&W Long, you need to own a bank or a casino to be able to buy factory ammo. Rifle target (DCRA type TR)? LOTS of .308...

I used to always get behind in reloading...But since lockdown, I have been at the bench 30-60 mins a day and am able to put out about 150 rounds of 9mm or .223 or 50-75 rounds of .308 per session.

I am starting to eat through the pails of brass I had accumulated and combined with the fact I am shooting way less matches this year than usual I am building a nice little stockpile.

Waiting for Princess Auto flyer....

Now I am actually looking at upgrading my reloading gear...Whoever said reloading would save you money...lol.
