recent Norincos clone of 70 or 80 series

Would a recent Norinco 1911 clone likely be a series 70 or 80.

Sorry, I am not familiar with Colt (yet), and looking for an aftermarket extractor for my Norc/IAL Commander.

Norinco 1911's are Series 70 - The Series 80 guns have a firing pin block which prevents the firing pin from moving unless the trigger has been pulled. The 'knock' against the Series 80 is that it contains more parts and is harder to get a good trigger pull on, but the extra parts really don't add anything to your safety (sorta like gun laws). The Series 70 has never been proven to fire as a result of being dropped.

Thanks. I thought it was related to the firing pin block..but didn't know which was which. Interesting that Norcs are so true to the two/both Colt designs.
