Four (4) minutes @ 140F is not enough time in the over & not hot enough.
Elvis Ammo's initial discovery of 14 minutes in the over @ 375F (also recommended by Emerald Coatings) is best.

I have used the 4 minute 140 method since I posted this. They still need to be baked for 14 at 375°F.
The 4 minute 140 is used in lieu of shaking them in a #5 recycle plastic container.
It work fine for me .

I just got some Emerald ToolBlue and am getting ready for my first attempt at powder coating. Most of the powders I have to use are double-base. Has anyone experienced degradation of the powder coating from gunpowder (like was observed by https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCk2-pmXLZQ) using this recipe?

Common sense would tell you that at worst only the bottom of the bullet that comes in contact would be affected. So really a non issue.
