12 inch 6.5 Grendel AR15 barrel?

6.5 Grendel cartridge was designed to as a long range round and it is mean to be shot out of a 20-24" barrel, you won't find any off the shelf 12" barrel in that caliber. Give IBI a call and see if they are willing to make one for you.
 
There are a number of these barrels made by companies in the USA, just can't find one in Canada and AR parts are having trouble at the border. IBI might be a good solution too. Thanks
 
Im in the same boat.. manual action receiver set on the way, all the parts are ready, just can't find the barrel. Started looking few month ago.. last two that got sold were Faxon 12" at TNA and Ballistic Advantage 12.5" from Saskatoon Gun Works..
Maple ridge Armoury should have 12" barrels available next month..

And yes its a great idea to build a short, compact hunting rifle in 6.5 grendel. Perfect for 50-300 meters.
 
I've got a 12" barrel incoming from IBI. Be ready in a month. I'm assuming with a .82 profile it will be a little heavier than I want but oh well. I won't need to install a gas block either. :)

Time to start shopping for a 1-6 LPVO. One with a bright red dot for close 1x shooting.

Faxon Firearms produces them. Contact True North Arms and they'll happily order one in for you. I have one coming from them!
