I just bought a black Ruger Wrangler. I figured at 279$ plus tax how the hell can you say no. The finish on the thing wasn't the greatest. However at that price, it was good enough. Im curious to hear other Nutters reviews of their Wranglers.

On E.E. there's a Colt New Frontier (with both cylinders), that looks in excellent cond.

It's twice the price, but way more than twice the gun of a Wrangler.

I purchased one in the Spring and finally got around to shooting it for the first time yesterday. I was super impressed! The action is smooth, it shot nice and flat, and I had good accuracy with it at 20 yards on paper. It's a super fun little gun. My other .22 pistol is a Sig 1911, and I think I enjoy the Wrangler a lot more! I will say that it is a little time consuming not being able to swing out the cylinder, but it's not the end of the world.
The finish isn't the most amazing, but I got mine for $250, and I would say it's a heck of a pistol for that price.

well...they either work great or not at all.
A couple of my buddys bought them.
1 is very accurate, fun to shoot and has zero issues.
The other has a reall joke. Its so" out of time" that it shaves lead off as its entering the barrel.
You cant fire any more than 3 shots and the bullit is hitting the paper "sideways" at 15 yards.
Its got so much lead stuck in the barrel that you Dare not shoot it another round.
well...there ya go. some good...some bad.

Pretty cool little .22 for so little price, wish we could take it where it belongs... on one's hip and in da woods

Can't hardly get a used one for that much. Should be decent value for general plinking...especially if you don't expect much from it.

I don't get it .... WHY would you want to buy a gun that you don't expect much from?

Do you buy cars the same way?

Just saw this thread and was wondering if anyone has any updates on their Ruger Wrangler. Tenda has them on for 259.99. I have seen the YouTube reviews from 22 Plinkster and Hiscock45 and both like them. I always like to hear from my fellow CGN'rs with their real world experience.

Saw and handled one a week ago; Goes bang when you pull the trigger, and with a few boxes of ammo could be grouping OK.

Worst fit I have ever seen on an assembled firearm. Where the grip frame attaches to the pistol frame, lots of gaps; some as thick as a credit card. Finis was really nice.

Pretty sure all they want is market share with this gun and the 45/22. Not a fan of either.

I like mine. It shoots straight. I have about 200 rounds down the pipe. I have had zero issues with it. As I said earlier the finish on it isn't the greatest. But for the price it is a good deal. Im very much tempted to buy a second black one so I can have a matching set.

Thanks Ebola for you honest feedback. I am going to be ordering one from Tenda today. The bronze black combo looks pretty cool.

I fire mine off some days after we shoot our pistol matches. Simple, goes bang, looks alright for now.

Kind of makes me want to spring for a nice single six but I really can't justify it.
