Especially when more are coming in another month or 2 and people are buying these. Think I saw one somewhere for $3000..

One assumption is some people don't go on CGN or know of TI bringing these in. Regardless there are still type 81s around for 2k, and still people selling 5/30 mags for 80$ each.

Sure didnt take long for jackasses to start posting them in the EE and gouging at a $1000+ premium. Shame.

Add a drum mag plus shipping and taxes and you're at a premium of $416. approx. for a selling price of $2500 shipped to you. You seriously can't believe you'll buy one at this point at a $516 loss for the seller??

Ive seen them without drum mags selling for $2500+

The part that pisses me off is why the hell did they even buy one if their plan was to post it and sell it at a stupid price? Like he other guy stated, people are too dam greedy.

You should have bought one from TI then. You're projecting your own deficiencies onto others to a point where you think should be able to buy one privately at a loss to the seller. The Salvation Army is down the hall to the left.

Well damn I should have bought 10 with drums, and resold for cost. Use my 5% tax price to pocket 10% net profit. Profit is profit, and less whining about the 1000$ mark up.

Everyone acts as if companies don't do it daily to consumers, but because people know what they paid, and what they all reselling for it's suddenly a problem. Wasn't there some blow back at Apple for the iPhones being made for like $100, and they were selling for $1200? People still buy iPhones daily.

I think the scalpers should be pinked IMO
We have a fantastic buy and sell forum on CGN, we don’t need scum like that doing business here
Oh and I did buy a type 81 lmg from TI and normal type 81 when they were available, both fixed and folder style

Its a free market buddy. The EE has always been like that.

Its literally a luxury item. We're not talking about bread and water.

Hell people pre order rare new cars and do the same thing.

Never join a watch forum as you'd be laughed off the board!!

Sure, let's start selling one per PAL as if it was in Communist economy. Lol. TI already told us that the fact that it was sold so fast is going to help us get more cool stuff from the factory. And I can guess a lot of this buying was done by people buying more than one and trying to resell. Just don't buy it from EE if you don't like the price. I missed a lot of trains - FAMAE, Finn Mosins, cheap Garands, hundred bucks SKS-ses, so I'm going to pay a premium or stay away from buying. And that's OK. It's free market. No one is going to bring cool stuff to a dull regulated market.

Who said the plan was to buy one just to flip it? I had no plan to sell mine as I only bought one of them. But sh*t happened and I had to make a choice. Why should I sell mine for cost when people are paying more? Besides no one is holding a gun to someone's head to make them buy ones being resold. They are more than free to wait for the next run of the blued ones.

What is the difference to those that bought Breda M1 Garands for $1400 days before the OIC and then after the OIC they are magically selling for $2200? It's generally supply and demand. Hell, normal T81 rifles were up to $2000 shortly after the OIC and people were buying them. Demand for an item that is no longer manufactured generally means prices will rise.

Especially when more are coming in another month or 2 and people are buying these.

More of the Blued but not the parkerized (Phospate). Those were a one time limited edition thing. No more will be made.

And here we have the Socialist.

You realize that is the NATURE of Business. Seriously, what do you think business is? It's buying a product and selling it for a profit. Supply and demand. No one is holding a gun to someone's head and making them buy something.

Let's see, originally the Type 81 Rifle was selling for $900 when they first came out? A used gun is valued at what, 60% of it's worth? So you'd sell it for $540 to me right?

Who says i wanted one? No one ever said sell it at a loss. I even stated in a previous comment that i could understand a $200-$300 premium. But $1000+ is rediculous. If gouging is your thing then thats cool, still a #### move regardless.

I remember when the new Dodge Challenger Hellcats came out. Guys bought them for $100,000 and reselling them for 3 or 4 times the amount. It's called supply and demand.

Youre missing the point kyle. With the value of your gun and mags youre not $1000 over like some people. People selling the gun as it came for $2500-$3000 is ludicrous. This is how some of these silly and outragous markets are created. Regardless of how you try to defend it, it still doesnt make it right.
