Best budget/bang for buck Optic Ready pistol

Hey all!
Hope everyone is doing well during these uncertain times.
Just wanted to pick the community's brains and was wondering what's the best budget/bang for buck OR pistol (glock 17/19 size, not competition size (ie. canik TP9SFx/ glock 34)
I wouldn't say that i'm cheap, but like getting the most value per dollar.

I am leaning towards getting an IWI Masada with a Holosun 507 v2 (am also open to a 407 v2) depending on price and was wondering if there was any other suggestions out there?
(only difference between 407 and 507, is that the 5 series has a 32 MOA reticle as well, correct me if i'm wrong)

I could also get a IWI masada paddle holster which accepts RDS for ~40$

GLOCK MOS is just way too expensive and i dont see any pros in getting it.
CZ OR pistols arent available here yet.

What you're suggesting may be over $1k when the smoke clears, including optic. Arguably a better value option would be to mill the slide of an existing gun you have and buy a used optic. All depends on what your goals are, etc. Just throwing it out there.

yeah, that's okay. I calculated if i were to buy a masada brand new with optic it would be 1300$ or so.
I have a cz p-10c which i was thinking about milling, but just wanted to see if there was any opinions among the CGNers. I just saw a post about a guy who selling his milled P10C and was kicking myself cause i had just bought my cz like 2 months before lol.

Holy crap, why have I never heard about these rear sight adapter plates. that's a good idea i'll think about it.
I'm thinking more of a holosun range of RDS just for budget and size.

I’d look for a gun with good parts support though. If something breaks, you don’t want to wait 6-12 months for a part. Or if you want to tune the gun, buying one where you can easily buy springs, etc is nice.
 
yeah. that's one of the reasons why i was kind of on the fence with the MASADA. should i fork over more for a GLOCK MOS? dont know. just wanted people's opinions :)

Getting your existing pistol milled is definitely the most cost effective option. As you’re in Toronto, I highly recommend Tactical Ordnance. It’s $150 for slide milling. And depending on your slide, they may be able to cut in a Glock rear dovetail so you can run co-witness iron sights as well. All that’s left would be the cost of your preferred red dot.

i quoted black box customs and they would cut but also have to do a refinish on the slide which bumps it up to 325$[/QUOTE]
