I am new to the platform of these old winchesters.. I am looking for help to rebuild what i think is the takedown one of these two... Both chamber in 30wcf any help would be most appreciated as my dad has terminal lung and brain cancer it would be cool for him to see his dads rifle back together.. And yes i put white out on the gate when i was a child

Years ago I had some new tubes, gone now , forget where I got them
Good luck
When / if you get them running , and a bit of practice, you will not need the marker to know where the ammo goes.:p
If you posted the serial numbers, bottom of the receiver, I can tell you the year they where made, you can x out last 3 # if you want
I don't care , some think you should hid numbers.
Misty keeps lots of sights ,lots of money for the correct original ones, wrong ones don't look right

I dont think the top one has a regular tube its unscrews i dont know if its a takedown with that extra 1/2 inch on the receiver and i cant separate it...

The hex barrel 94 is a takedown , it will take a different mag tube than the lower model . Parts will require some searching , you can find them , but it will take some patience and perseverance .

If you have trouble locating parts, try: Homestead Gun Parts. A US source, but does ship to Canada. Homestead offers a very wide variety of parts for vintage Winchester rifles, etc.

They have everything for this rifle I just dont know what i need... I dont know shyte about levers..

You near Calgary, just rebuilt a couple myself. If you wanted a hand going over them I’m in Bowness.

Do the actions feed and cycle properly?

Numrich has good parts schematics to help you identify things.

The one rifle is a takedown, not sure why it won’t spin apart but with that hex barrel it would be a desirable rifle to own or sell. Finding the right fore stock may be more challenging.

If you reblue these they will probably lose value. If you alter or modify, they will lose value.

If you want to hunt them and keep them in your family to be passed down they will hold the same or more sentimental value. So consider that.

If you restore the butt stocks, check out the YouTube video from midway on restoring those. It’s pretty good and detailed.

it looks like the mag follower is still in the action on the take down action,if so you need to pull it out to seperate the barrel from the action.

Why not take the pile of parts you have to R&T Firearms in Warburg. If Roys still in business he's got to have the enough spares to build a couple 94s.

Parts from the us plus duty.. And labour and everything else involved.. I still cant separate it tho.. That threaded part is part of that receiver it dont come off

The plate is attached (pressed) onto the barrel, they should swivel off as one piece, if you spin it CCW, but...

If there is a piece of the magazine tube or mag follower in the hole for the magazine tube it will keep it locked in place, so make sure that is clear first.

You may want to try some sort of penetrating fluid on it in case the threads are seized up too.

Octagon bbl . The take down will be expansive to restore and if the bore is not very good condition not worth the money . The standard model will be a reasonable price to restore
