Oh how I wish for them to make a nice Model 70 pattern.

I just use the mauser classic pattern and make it fit.
I have to send Stuart some more patterns one these days.Working on a kimber 84m and a 700 mountain rifle for him.

I need to get around to ordering a couple of the wildcat Mauser stocks, I have a Brno 21 7x57 with the round bolt handle and a ZG47 30-06 that have busted stocks.

Gary, could you comment on whether the factory ZG47 trigger that the rear stock bolt goes through be mischievous of an issue to inlet and fit for ?

I have a Wildcat stocked Rem 700 SA trued up by Bob Galloway at Custom Gunworx in Leslieville AB. Excellent stock. Has been through 10 yrs of year round hunting - big game and varmint. Tough, balanced, holds zero. Want to spend your $$ here? That rifle sports a Bob Jury barrel (Red Deer), Wildcat stock (Strathcona county) and put together by Bob G. Shoots into one hole at 100m with 140 gr accubonds and holds .5 MOA to 500 m. Easily the most accurate hunting rifle I have owned ... or shot.

Checked website, standard model (which I have) spec'd @ 23 oz. Old memory still works a bit.

Just put a timney in it but the factory one will work if bedded correctly

Needs to be ground out and bedded in duraglass.

Well I ordered the same stock for my Winchester. When all the pieces are together it’s off to Gary. Now to decide on paint scheme.

I’m also not a fan of the Winchester design he builds but when I inquired about it this is what he responded.


The only pattern we make is the Schnabel for-end but we can add solids there so you can sand it off and
use a bit of filler to contour the for-end.


I had one on a Remington for a few years that finished at 21 ounces and it was fantastic. When I was asking about the Winchester stock my plan was to modify it to fit my kimber Montana to drop about 7 ounces.
