Replacement stock Savage MKII

I would highly suggest an aftermarket stock for the Savage MKii. The comb on the factory plastic stock is just too low.

I have a Boyds At-One on my Savage MKii FV.
They ship direct to Canada. I don't think you will find any dealers in Canada that stock them...there are just too many options!
Adjustable comb and length of pull are great fit for me and the kids
This also has the larger "target" grips.
You will also need a new trigger guard and floor plate available from Boyds as well as different action screws available from DiProductsInc : PN 13020

Like the looks of this...

I just put a strike eagle on mine last week, with a 40moa rail that will hopefully bottom it out so I don't have to install the zero-stop...

The more I shoot my Savage MKII, the less I want upgrade it. Floppy mag, feeding and extraction issues depending on dirtiness(100rnds) and ammo choice, ergonomics that cost $$ to fix etc. Cost wise I’m drawn to the Ruger precision Rimfire with an IBI barrel. Flush fit reliable mag, barricade stop, chassis is so-so for quick adjustment but the price is good. Other option is a CZ in an MDT chassis with IBI barrel. I know this wasn’t your question, but I’m at the same crossroads as you.

I haven't had any issues with mine, it's functioned flawlessly, granted the mags aren't the best but they work fine. The only problem I have with it is the stock. It's too short for me, I had to put a recoil pad on it to increase the LOP and it is too light for me to shoot off hand very well.
