WK180C Owners Thread

Anyone know what the thread on the charging handle is? Before I start experimenting? I’m thinking it might be 10-32 but if someone knows offhand, that’d be great.

I found a bolt to serve as a backup for mine. I forget the size though... I think I just rummaged through my spare fasteners until I found one.

It is not in stock yet but Spectre Ballistics will shortly have an enhanced strength charging handle for sale. Someone at Spectre decided to make replacements after having to use a plain Allen key bolt as a charging handle when the OEM one broke mid 3-gun match :p

I saw that thread on Reddit...im more thinking about getting an AR180B old school charging handle threaded to fit the bolt...that’s why I’m interested. Guess I will spend the evening in the garage going through bolts...lol

My WK is going to go through a bit of test in a couple weeks. I'm expecting upwards of 1000 rounds through it in 8h. That'll take the round count to over 6000 rounds. Next month I can also see it getting another 1000 through it and then come January another 1000 in the Winter competition shoot we conduct.

Cool. You must have among the highest mileage on yours as it is. Will be interesting to see how it fairs under continuous use.

Is your gun 1st or 2nd Gen?

You'd have to tell me what that means to you. i keep seeing people saying 1st and 2nd gen but never actually defining it. Especially when the manufacturer as far as i know has never used the term either.

If it helps my rifle was purchased one year ago

Does the cocking knob just sit in the bolt hole or is magnetic or threaded? I love shooting my friend's 180, it was one of the very first ones and other than the extractor spring has been flawless.

Mine came with the screw in cocking handle but after replacing the cocking handle circa 4 times via warranty Kodiak offered the older form of bolt. I said yes and it works much better with no side affects apart from shaving a small amount of metal off the inside with no functional impact so far.
