These guns JUST came on the market and already as of yesterday I think I saw 5 of these up on the EE. Wonder why people are selling them so quickly? Are they that crappy, or were these preorders that people can no longer afford to keep?

it takes two to tango, if buyers werent willing to pay the price there wouldnt be a seller asking a grand more.

economic 101, increase in damn was created by the gun ban of may 1st and no more coming in/available = increase in prices.

SKS has also increased and T97 recovered but prices capped cos its still being imported at $1200.

to my calculation, 5 sold so far and all of them are the rare parked, no one in their right mind would pay hundreds more for (blued) something that are still coming in at the same price.

not crappy, according to reports, these are built better. the complaints of the T81 rifle had a positive effect on the lmg.

I believe these are made at a different factory therefore different manufacturing. The original shipment of t81 was awful. Improperly made front trunions rivets that were popping out or not set correctly. I managed to look through about 10 that were at a lgs and found a decent built one. They remind me of century arms and the crap they produce. These lmg could be a total 180 of that or built to a higher standard

Same factory according to TI. They are the same Type 81sa's that were imported before. Except that they pressed in the LMG barrel assembly, bolted a carry handle to the rear sight block and pinned in a LMG buttstock at the back. The LMG models appear to have "T81SA" on the side which makes what i said pretty conclusive. Ian with forgotten weapons stated in his Type 81 LMG (aka 114?) Review that they designed the type 81 platforms receiver to be very diverse so minimal tool changing was required to switch between variants.

Can anyone give me a pointer on how to remove the cleaning rod? Tried moving the bipod around but it still won't budge. Thx

it should not be difficult to remove bcos soldiers need to clean their lmg in the field. i dont have mine yet but it should normally pull down on the end/head of the cleaning rod and pull straight forward.
