Looking for data on 80gr eld and 90 grain vld.
With the 80 gr eld m my gun is showing some signs of slight pressure no matter where I start with h4350, then it disappears. It is an ibi barrel, brand new in a savage large shank action. I ran it over a lab radar and at 38gr I am running 3300 FPS which is still safe from what I read, but have no way to verify

I use RL16 (slightly slower burning than H4350) with the 80gr Hornady Amax (what the ELDm replaced) in a IBI barrel Win m70, here's my data :

Alpha brass
2.691" OAL (.063" off lands)
38.0grs RL16
Federal 210M primer
~
3240 fps, 26" 1:7 IBI

I used Sierra 22-250AI start loads and worked up from there.

For me, top speed was not the goal

Backed it off and started at 34 gr 4350 today, groups were great at 36,36.5 but I tried the cci br4 primers. That was a mistake, didn’t light very well. Had a few hangfires. Going to redo with magnum primers

Just looked and. Sierra has a really good app. Going to try rl17, looks very similar to rl16.

I use large rifle primer in my 22cm brass, but I use Lapua small rifle pocket in my 6.5cm, the primer I go with now is the CCI450 magnum. Have some weird delayed ignition clickbooms with CCI400 and Fed 205 with ball powders like Win760
