Stevens 320 -security/ghost ring- can it be threaded for chokes?

Just wondering if a Stevens 320 security model (ghost ring sights) can be threaded for chokes?

Just about any shotgun can be threaded for chokes. Price and availability will depend on how thick the barrel wall is, if it’s chromed or not, and what pattern of choke you want. There are a few gunsmiths that should be able to thread for Rem Chokes in Canada, and it shouldn’t cost too much. There are a dozen or more different choke patterns from as many manufacturers.

Your gun should be plenty thick enough to be reamed and threaded for chokes. Usually it's cut down guns that don't have enough meat left.

Never hear that before. Usually, it's old guns that can't be threaded because they had fixed chokes, and thin barrels to save weight. I guess some shotguns bell out at the muzzle to accommodate removable chokes, but most don't.

I guess in my experience it's usually cut down guns. I haven't bothered with many older shotguns.

To start with the OD of the barrel must be of a certain size depending on the type of choke tube to be reamed to keep enough meat on the barrel after reaming and threading. On very thin barrel the Tru Choke Thin Wall is normally used. For Remchoke I personnally will not ream them if the OD is below 0.875 (min is 0.845”) as some barrel bore are not concentric with the OD.
