How far is Kenora from Fort Frances? We were up there last week and if you are not that far away, you should have no problems filling the deer tags. Moose though, we saw no sign what so ever. Regardless, best of luck on filling all the tags and have fun.

where were you as we were up that way as well .Kenora is about 2 hours northwest of Fort Frances

Not sure but our closest town was Emo, at about 1/2 hour away. Again not sure of the road names around there but we did stay around the area of Split Rock Road.

Home Early Tagged Out

well guys and gals the misses and i are home 5 days early....as we were lucky enough to find a calf on the second day... we saw lots of moose but they were all cows and only a couple with calfs ...i usually see 5-8 bulls on my stay but this year there were none to be found not even tracks ...except for one set we just could not cross paths with him untill the the eight morning when i could see him about 180 yds back in all the 20 ft. birch saplings....well my ruger in 7mm rem made short work of that prob....and there he was 50" of him.... then the work started...LOL...
it was my wifes first moose hunt and she says shes hooked wont miss a moose hunt.....i'm so lucky:)
well our tags were done and the weather was going to warm up so we packed up and headed home ....our total trip 3967 kms.....moose is cut and rapped now and we are getting ready for opening deer on monday......

heres a few photos.....i hope i get the photo thing right ....first time posting pics here.......

was a great hunt....wild game processing
