Sold OUT: TYPE 81 LMG

7823 arrived today. Was held up in Calgary and again at a sort facility in Ontario. Had smaller packages follow same route at the same time in Ontario yet T81 arrived a day later. Weird.

Much tighter build than my T81, higher quality in the workmanship on these. Pretty happy, can’t wait to test fire.

That being said for someone who actually got an LMG while they lasted and sells it for a profit is wrong it should be a rifle
Thats bought and kept. Never know when they’ll dry up. I have fixed stock type 81, hoping to get my hands on an LMG the second shipment.

Yup that's right. An AK is half the cost of a T81, so most of their export sales are AK's. We were told that with there no longer being internal demand for T81 they were planning on shutting down production line to make way for more modern stuff. However we were told just a few days ago that this shutdown might be put on hold as they got a large foreign military order. Apparently while the Chinese government might be done with Type 81, there is still occasional demand from other foreign militaries that still use T81 and need new stock to either maintain or expand existing armouries. The good news is this means we could be looking at regular series production T81's in late 2021/2022 again. Not all older products were that lucky, apparently the Type 03 tooling was completely dismantled and gone forever now.

It's a shame that we haven't got any real updates on why shipping is taking so long. I was in the 77** range and still haven't got a tracking #. My drum pouch and drop case that I ordered AFTER I bought my LMG actually got here from China before my LMG has even been put into the post office :/

Any pics or links of the pouch/case? I ordered a few Romanian/russian and 1 east german pouch for my drums, still on route though.
