August 27, 2020. Some of the reviews I've seen of this new model shotgun have been positively gushing once the reviewer got to shooting one. But anyway, I never knew that shotguns had coming out ceremonies like they put on for new model cars.

 
I've had many Beretta shotguns over the years and as much as I do love they're over and under line, I'm astounded at the lengths they are going to promote this model which is simply a modified version of the same model that has been on the market for decades. To be honest, I wasn't able to sit through 48 minutes of hype and instead, skipped through it hoping they'd have some of the usual Beretta girls on display that they have on their calendars!

Lotta hype...I have the original 687 III - got the first one that came into BC( by fluke ).I think they are a little nicer than the new ones. Hand cut engraving always looks better than the stuff done on a laser.
Any 686/7 series are nice guns though, and mechanically they are pretty much alike.Great design.
I like the early 686 Onyx (with real wood) too- less is more.
 
Apparently they changed the balance o the 687 III so that it's easier to swing and the result is that it just shoots the birds dead all by itself while the operator watches. :)

Edit: BTW, the action picks up at about minute 13:00. And I added the smiley emoji because there are people who take every statement dead seriously, don't want Beretta to get tarnished by my tomfoolery. Jonney Carter as seen in the video is one of the people I was thinking of, on his own YT page.
