Predictions, A7 initial tests.

So I'm ready to attempt the test of the Sako in 300WM on the weekend, pending what the wind does, we have been quite breezy here again.

I am only going to be testing charge weights as the magazine will only fit cartridges around 3.340" or less and this will be my cartridge length.

W760 and H4350 were the powders I picked for this outing to try propel the Swift Scirocco's in 180gr.

My guess is that the H4350 will present the most accurate load in the top end of the charge weights.

Just hope the chronograph doesn't decide to be a battle axe.

What do others expect to see?

Did you drop the trigger weight on the A7? It's quite a nice trigger at 2lbs.

I gave it about a 1/4 turn , unfortunately no gauge to measure but it felt good even at the factory weight, should be just slightly less than the factory setting now.

What do others expect to see?

A good friend of mine has an A7 in 300WM with a boyds stock. He is shooting 225 gr hand loads (do not fit in mag) No problem spanking the gong fairly consistantly at 1000 yards. I have one in 270, They are awesome rifles!
