Courtesy is courtesy. It’s extended not a right. If your posting signs of this nature your part of the problem. And if your posting signs of this nature your bound to attract unwanted attention like anti’s. People who would destroy your gear will do it anyway. No sign will prevent that.
Your original post eludes to hunting an area hard and often that is posted with active legal hunt in progress yet you would avoid an area with a tree stand that is not posted.
I simply don't get the logic of your willingness to interfear with one person's legal hunt and not the others......
Maybe this guy posting signs has been shot at by another hunter before, it happens more often than you would think
I had a scenario this year already where I was in an area an hour before sunrise. As soon as it was light out, another hunter set up 100yds from me directly on the other side of the game trail which would result in a crossfire situation since he had no idea I was there. I could have sat there and interfeared with his hunt out of spite but instead I got up making sure he saw me and moved on. This was the same weekend a hunter in Alberta was shot in a tree stand because he was thought to be a cougar.

My understanding is park your quad / truck facing into the spur road/area that you are hunting. This is also to indicate direction of travel if you are overdue.
Wouldn't try that on a mainline or secondary that leads to a ton of spurs mind you.

People ignore the obvious, or simply do it out of spite because they didn't get there first that morning
I have had better luck parking so that unless they are really keen trackers, they will not know what direction I went to come and disturb me.

I haven't gone hunting as rifle season for deer isn't open here yet.
Have called the CO, no laws were broken.
Once the season opens I will return to "my spot" as I've hunted there for guite a few years and have rarely seen anybody around. I am normally in the bush very early and if the person who posted the sign happens to be there first I will back away and let them be. I don't own crown land!
If I am there first I expect the same from them. Their actions at that point will determine how the conversation goes from there.

That being said, I prolly would change my tactics knowing no laws broken.

Just got back from moose hunting tonight. We had a group of anti hunters in Jeeps drive through our hunt in WMU56 near Minden ON. This was on opening day Saturday and Sunday of the one week moose season. One of the hunters from the other hunting camp was sitting in his tree stand and heard these people talk about "how could anyone shoot such lovely animals?" The antis then proceeded to fire several dozen rounds of .22 and high powered rifles at random and released 3 dogs from their Jeeps, which began chasing deer and possibly moose out of the area. These brain surgeons had no hunter orange on, probably had no licenses for their dogs and certainly had no hunting licenses. To top off matters they stayed around Sunday night and were discharging rifles after dark and finally decided to head home around midnight.
I didn't get to see them personally, otherwise I would have been recording their license plates and reporting them to the MNRF and the QEII park. We talked to a few hunting camps in the area and we are going to petition to have the trail through the park shut down further than it has already been. As it stands access is limited to the general public until after Sept. 15. Originally the park wanted to close all motorized vehicle access to everyone except camp owners. Most camp owners and members of hunting camps didn't support the restrictions the park wanted to put in place, but would have rather restricted access during the hunting season for non-hunters. This may still end up happening because of the actions of a few special idiots.
