hi - looking at the jesse james (jjfu) nomad califas (or any of the nomad series rifles) and can't find much info about it? looks like both upper and lower are non-ar variants so should be good to go in canada (more 180-ish than anything)? only jjfu firearm named in the oic is their m4 carbine.

anyone have any thoughts or experiences? a quick search on cgn can't find anything.

i think the fightlite is a custom lower with a standard ar upper. the nomad may use a fightlight lower, but upper appears different? side charging, different buffer assembly; but not sure what it takes to pass the rcmp sniff test. note that the oic mentions the fightlight but not the nomad ...

The Fightlite SCR is obviously AR-15 based, whereas the JJFU is obviously NOT AR-15 based. The AR-180 is still NR, which appears similar, which was the radium king's point in his post...

Not sure how you figure this one, it follows the same standard AR pattern upper lower dimensional configuration, and operates similar to the scr except it has a side charger instead of a T handle.

Is it Fightlite or Fightlight? Or are they different things?

It is most definitely an AR15 platform. It's just a customized Fightlite SCR. Not sure how you figure otherwise. I'm guessing only because of the side charging handle?

I agree with onetwentyish and armedsask. Looks like a FiteLite SCR with a longer mag well and charging handle moved to the side. Based on the pin locations, it looks like any AR upper would fit... therefore no way it'll get an NR classification. I don't at all see where you figure any kind or AR180 lineage...

the action - uncertain if it is modified ar with buffer run down into the stock, or some kind of shorter guide rod/spring system. the lower looks similar to a fightlite but is different (as you noted, magwell, etc.); it does look like it would take an ar upper but who knows as both are custom pieces. the rcmp are aware of the jjfu guns as one is on the oic, but this one is omitted for some reason.

i presume it is just modified fightlite lower/modified ar upper, but not a lot of info out there to confirm.
