So, I finally got my replacement Nork 14" back from the distributor, and I attached a Knoxx Spec Ops stock.

Is there supposed to be a huge gap behind the rigger guard and the pistol grip area?
I knew there'd be a gap, but I didn't think it'd be that large. I can put my finger in there. Is there a way to adjust the pistol grip/adapter so that gap is less?

There should not be too much of a gap, unless of course you are using one of those sling mounts that attach in between.

Check that everything is tight, and check your length of pull for your finger reach from the grip to the trigger, and you might find it works out for you this way.

The reciever and trigger guard move backward in the stock under recoil... close to 1" I'd say. The gap is there for the guard to move into.

At least I think that's what you're looking at... got a pic?

Sounds like the stock is hanging up on the trigger guard. You may need to take a file to the sides of the trigger guard to allow the stock to fit properly. I had the same problem fitting the 870 stock to a Fabarm when using the BBB adaptor.

....I only have about a .25" gap between my TG and Pistol grip... then again I have a winchester and a CopStock. I'm thinking about removing my trigger guard all together (It's a pain in the Butt, hurts my finger when I shoot) I would say what you've got is too much of a gap!

Pics, as requested.

The fit could be a bit better, but the result isn't gonna be noticable, gap wise.

The receiver geometry is no 870 clone, that's for sure. And, just behind the trigger plate pin, what is that extra pin doing there?

WTF kind of shotgun is this?

Hmm, yeah, um... no. That's not what it's supposed to look like at all...

Sorry. I have nothing of value to offer LOL

That is not normal at all.

My HP-9 is snug without the sling plate, with the sling plate it is only a 1/4 of a gap that you have there.

If you were able to fire the gun with your finger located as in the middle picture, I suspect you would be in a great deal of pain possibly even losing a chunk of it.

Now that we've determined the problem lies with your shotgun and not the stock..... I'll buy the stock from ya! :D

Maybe someone else with a Norinco will post similar close-up photo's so you can compare your's to their's. Might need to go back on the outfit that you bought your shotgun from.

While not a name-branded Norinco (!), this photo CanAm posted of the 870 Clones that he's bringing shows some of the differences:

Trigger guard is different. There is no extra pin. Notice how the big pin doesn't line up vertically with the trigger? On yours it does.

Here is mine (the blue paper is covering serial numbers), and if I remove the sling plate the Knoxx stock fits snug as a bug in a rug.

For me the extra extension works great, but I can't figure out why yours is gaping like that.
If I was you I'd have a chat with whomever you bought your shotgun from.

Well nuts.

I put the original stock back on her, so now I have a conventional 14" shotgun. Still cool, but not tacti-cool :ninja: . This just means I'll have to go and buy another shorty :D .

I won't name the dealer, but they're selling 14" Norks, calling them HP-9's and they not  . Oh well, time to dial up Marstar.

That's so bizarre. Burned by a clone of a clone.... :D
I wonder if those fake Norc's are the ones giving Norinco a bad name. (That last sentence should really rile up the Nork-haters).

Now's your chance to buy an even shorter (12.5") tacti-cool shotty from CanadaAmmo.
