Visited my range the day after rcmp training. You couldn’t see the ground for the ivi 5.56 brass. Found a dozen live rounds as well.Decades ago at the local fish and game club after rcmp/police rentals there would always be live ammo left lying around, boxes on benches, loose on the ground, in the clubhouse, etc.
Even when they knew there was an Easter egg hunt the next day for the kids it was the same problem. Free ammo is nice, but the expectation that they should not have to clean up after themselves or held to account for where the ammo went was not.
