Anyone else have trouble removing the barrel nut from an SA15.7?

My SA 20 barrel net was tuff, used some much force I thought I was going to break some thing for sure, but she came lose.

Same, my SA20 was on there pretty solidly, but did come off without the need for heat or oil. Haven't tried removing my SA15.7 barrel yet.

Dave, you sure you're turning it the right way? ;)

I soaked a rag and froze it. Then using my heat gun got the nut nice and hot, then stuffed the frozen rag into the front of the Receiver/Barrel Ext, waited a few seconds then put the torque to it...off it came.

Well, that was an ordeal - I've never seen a barrel nut torqued so tightly. It's off now, but the barrel will not come out of the receivervand I'm not sure why. The only other time I've seen that is from someone that used loctite retaining compound on a barrel extension/receiver interface.

You probably need to heat up the receiver to pull the barrel. HK MR receivers are intentionally undersized and the upper needs to be heated to install/disassemble the barrel (for the aluminium to expand), I image Colt may have a tight fit so following the same strategy will most likely work.

The injunction hearing is coming in Jan, no move before Feb.

Heat gun or torch the nut a tiny bit, make sure you got a good vise setup and carefully try again.
