Who hunt yotes with iron sights ?

The only coyote I have ever missed was with an old 30 inch full choke 12 gauge with a slug at about 100 yards when I was 16. But I haven't shot that many. The odd one to be on the grouse's side so I can eat more of them ;)
 
Missing a Coyote is worse than missing a big buck... My perspective only. Missing Grouse is like death stalking you!!!
 
I have never been a fan of optics. Took my last coyote in the backyard with a single Winchester 45 JHP from a Mini-14 at about 140m. Traded his carcass for a case of beer.
 
Why would you drive a 2wdtruck if you could drive a 4wd.?

Why would you shoot any distance over 100 yds by choice with iron sights vs a scope.?

I've shot thousands of handgun and rifle rounds with open sights, but other then black powder rifle I have not deliberately hunted with iron sights I could afford my first scope in the seventies.

Why? Because we can. Maybe your skill with irons is just much lower than others. Your vehicle analogy is nonsense.
