Mossberg 590A1 Forend

Hey guys (and Gals)

I have a Mossberg 590A1 with the heat shield. I absolutely hate the streamlight forend on it and want to change it out. I am looking at the Magpul MOE forend but it seems to ride higher up the side of the barrel. Does anyone know if the heat shield will interfere with the forend?

I have a heatshield and MOE on mine and it fits/works perfectly

Unless you're dead set on the magpul, in that you want to mount a light or a grip of some kind , have a look at the hogue forend, they're nice .

Really their website says it doesn't work. I saw a video of a guy put one on a 500 but he squeezed the heat shield in a vice pretty much until it touched the barrel. You wouldn't be able to send me a pic would you?

I had to massage my heat shield to get the magpul to work, I’m switching it back to stock and repairing the heat shield.
The heat shield was my favourite part
