Hello,

Just orderded a Greybirch reciever and their 16.1 carbon fiber wrapped barrel also a Greybirch bolt.

Looking to update you guys an gals with build quality and how she shoots and groups when i get rifle as cant find to many reviews online as fairly new company.

This build will sport kidd 2 stage trigger and magpul x22 hunter stock

Think this will pair nicely with my Dlask shorty build.

I put a Dlask bolt in my Takedown and it shoots quite well, better than I thought a bolt change would make it shoot. It also feeds and fires every kind of ammo I've fed it - even the Federal bucket stuff. Hopefully the Greybirch stuff is good, we can't have too many suppliers that aren't dependant on imports.

Yes i had a nice takedown with adtac barrel and kidd bolt and trigger shot amazing for a 9 inch barrel. Not as good as my 8 inch non takedown with Dlask 8 inch

See if I can post pictures of my Ruger 10/22 project to Grey Birch Journey.

I changed the factory barreled receiver and kept the mushy Ruger trigger and Sloppy Ruger 10/22 bolt. I have the Grey Birch receiver and 12” barrel with carbon fibre wrap. All dropped into my Magpul X22 Hunter which I just happen to love.

It shoots CCI SV really nicely and dances around a 3/4” red dot sticker that I buy from Staples business depot. I often use a RED Bingo dabber from the Dollar Store, too. It’s about a 3/4” diameter colour dot on white paper. I was joking that this baby shoots on par with my skinny barreled CZ455 Synthetic. But my wife loves that bolt gun. So it’s staying.

Right now this Grey Birch hybrid project gun has a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-14-40mm with EBR2 reticle FFP in Mrad. And it’s now my client shooter. If any of you are shooting at the CRPS Eastern Championships outside London, ON this weekend , I will have this rig for all of you to ring steel with it.

My factory Ruger 10/22 will hold groups around the size of a golf ball with a couple of flyers. Once you switch out the barrel and receiver then many changes will be evident. Now to snag a Grey Birch bolt and Timney trigger. Hahahahaha

Here’s a picture of their or Grey Birch demo rig at a recent media shoot with Code of Arms back in September 2020. You can see my Armageddon Pint Size game changer being used. We shot groups around 2” and smaller at 200 yards. Have a look at the picture and of course you won’t be able to use THEIR suppressor. Hahahaha

That’s MY steel target by JR Targets in Muskoka ON. Thanks Jason. We love your AR550 steel and hanger straps that are used at the Meaford Long Range Steel Challenge annually. Shameless plug for one of my sponsors.

We were shooting RWS R50 I believe.

I’m super stoked about this rig. And they are Canadian. What’s not to like?? Now, if you are one of my clients from my PR matches in Garrison Petawawa, and you are pondering about these; Give me a shout and we can chat about my journey (my style of explaining is rather coarse, my clients are used to my banter) through the Grey Birch upgrades.

Cheers, Barney

Cool to see some people starting builds! Did not know they started making their own bolts and the new Foundation chassis is pretty sporty looking too!
Could anyone shed some light on how their bolt goes in the reciever seeing as the charging handle set up is different from a normal 10/22 bolt arrangement?

Haven't got rifle yet but pics look like bolt has hole for guide rod and spring to reciprocate in
