I don't like how far I have to stretch my weak hand to reach the activation switches. I prefer the old paddles on my TLR-1 and M3.
It is small and bright.

I just ordered 2 of the Olight Mini 2's for 30% off during a flash-sale at Olight Canada today. BIG savings! 600 lumens, fits any pistol due to the new internal sliding rail, rechargeable, etc. What's not to like?
Olight PL 2 or mini are excellent choices also.
1200 lumens on the PL2 and 400 on the mini.
Olight shouldn't let you down either, they are solid.

house pistol? Correct me if im wrong, its legal to have a pistol for home defence in Canada now?[/
Rampart has lightly used Inforce APL gen3s for $59.99 right now. I picked one up and its in great shape. Definitely worth it.

I jimust got the Pl Mini 2 Valkyrie a month or so ago. 40% off for the new gunmetal grey color they came out with. Locks on better than the Streamlight TRL1 I have, is really small (great for the G19), and has a good beam. I think it is a good value.
Yeah regular un professional use of the olight pl pro valkyre seems to be a solid light. had solely build me a holster for my shadow for it. they kinda botched the holster job as I had selected the pl pro/pl 2 option. They decided to mold it for the balder pro too with the ### laser so the holster has no trigger guard support. Its a 1500 lumen beast though, and more throw than say a fenix pd series. The light would be as effective as a less than lethal tool I suspect. Its a softer color and doesn't glare back at you like the white lights.
+1 for olight, currently running the pl2 mini Valkyrie
I did the same. They are pretty good lights for the money.

I have a variety of Surefires (up to and including an X400), Streamlights (up to TLR2 HL), and more recently the Plight PL2 Valkyrie and PL1 Mini Valkyrie. I find the Olight performance-to-cost ratio to be the best of the bunch by a considerable margin. As a result, I won't be buying more of the "big name" brands any time soon.
