The Area 419 "stuff" is addictive, ask me,![]()
Anyone using the Area419 powder cup? Personally, I'm not impressed with the glass "shot glass" arrangement that comes with the unit. Fine ball powders seem to cling to it like glue. And yes, I have tried the used dryer sheet wipe-down method of trying to eliminate this problem. But powder always seems to cling to the glass surface. So I was contemplating a new cup that is metal.
Anyone else changed out their cup? What did you end up with?

Where did you get yours?
I’m still waiting for my final payment email. It’s been 5 weeks now. I’m a bit curious how it’ll handle Vihtavuori N570. It’s basically like metering cord wood. One kernel can weigh .07 of a grain. I suspect not as well as I’m hoping.

When using fine ball powders (BLC-2, H-110, etc.), I can't adjust the volume screw down far enough on the thrower when there's powder in the hopper. Empty the hopper of powder and clear all of the excess, and the screw moves freely all the way to the bottom.
The first time I tried to throw a charge for a pistol caliber round, I couldn't get the screw down past 30 with powder in the system. I needed to get it down to around 15 for an 18.3gr target. Clear the system and the problem eliminates itself. So I adjust the screw before I fill the hopper.
