Has anybody else encountered the issue of the thumb of your glove getting pinched in your shotgun while reloading?

I have a Maverick, and the cartridge stops will regularly pinch my glove after I push a shell into the mag. I tried this with well fitting Mechanix gloves, and some stretchy mortar gloves. I don't recall this happening with my previous shotguns🤦

Does anyone have a technique or something to mitigate this, short of cutting the thumbs off my gloves?

I simply remove my glove and load barehanded, then put it back on.
And I do this even in pretty cold temperatures. I don't usually shoot below -30 anymore though. I'd rather sit by the woodstove nowadays when the mercury drops.

During shotgun season i regularly use a mossberg 500 and dont find it pinches my fleece gloves. Maybe try putting most of the thumb's pressure on the top instead of on the bottom of the rim of the shell until it "clicks" into position?

This worked. I pushed on the shells above the primer, and when they clicked in the glove didn't pinch. Thanks!
