I bought a Sako 85 300wm yesterday and put a nice Leupold VX-7 Riflescope 3.5-14X50 SATIN B&C on it.

I don't reaload at all and I need to know from Sako 85 300WM users which factory ammo is giving you the best results?

It will vary from gun to gun and the decision also has a lot to do with what you are hunting. For a general one load for everything I would try the federal nosler partition or Barnes TSX 165 or 180 gr.

while you're spending $, might as well buy a reloading kit :D

If I had to shoot factory I would go with it in this order

1- Federal VS 165 gr TSX
2- Federal VS 180 gr Accubonds
3- Federal VS 180 gr TSX
4- Winchester supreme 180 gr Accubond ct
5- winchester supreme elite 180 gr xp3
6- Federal fusion 180 gr

My buddy and I use to shoot Winchester Supreme Accubonds in 180gr till I started to reload for our Sako m75SS 300WM rifles with Leupold scopes. The new Winchester Supreme Elites XP3's in 180gr would be another or Federal ammo in 180gr Accubonds or TSX. Nosler has the new E-tips that should be out in Winchester Supreme ammo is another.

I personallly love my Accubonds and the performance on Big Game. I traded all my new bullets for reloads in 180 gr TSX in 30 caliber and 140gr TSX in 270cal for my 270WSM for more AB's in the same calibers.

Sounds like you have a great rifle setup.

It was a 358 yards shot and found the doe at only 21 yards away. The bullet took half the heart and part of lungs. Somehow it took 5 ribes too! I am very pleased with this setup.
