Thanks, solved

the primer punch is right. I deprimed, re-primed and pre crimped a couple of hulls and this all works good.

Are your sizemasters all the newer models without this style of hook on the actuator bar?

Mine are all new models i just got a E-mail from a Mec garu he told me your model never came in 3 inch and that your sizer is set to high you should have around 6 threads showing on the sizer. Hope all works out for you . Over and out.

thanks, I'll figure it out i'm sure.

in case someone who has this older model sm77 reads this please pm me.

I might ask on trapshooters.com, someone on there might have one.

I missed your video link . after watching it . it appears the press is not assembled correctly . the floating turret assembly section of the press should be on top of the actuator rod . the rod should be captured in the back of the turret assembly . part number 85 on the schematic .

Thanks Rembolt!

A quick call with Mec explained a lot.

The technician there told me that the top plate should be pushing down on a small bolt head halfway the actuator bar and the bolt in the handle linkage is pushing the rod back up on the upstroke (and not pushing down on it during the downstroke as I thought).

So it turns out that a previous owner converted it to selective / on-off crimping...
So the wingnut locks a sliding plate that engages with the bolthead on the actuator rod, or not...

Now I feel so stupid for not investigating what that wingnut at the back was for...

Anyway thanks to all of you who responded for your input and efforts :)
