Buddies daughter got her moose this am with a 123gr Privi SP handload at about 75 yards. Bull calf should be fine eating.

I've loaded both 123gr TSX and 150gr /.311 Sierras intended for moose in my own CZ 527,but was holding another gun when the time came.

I have one and they are super handy short rifles. Picked up the Warne Medium 30 mm rings but can't locate/identify an acceptable scope....

Congrats on the moose.

Not to derail but mine just got a compact 2-7 Leup in Calhoon rings. Fits and balances like it was made for it.

I like mine for when I'm bush pushing or tree stand hunting.A solid 200 yard gun on medium sized game.

Have one. Bought for my wife, a new shooter. Im coastal with tiny blacktail. This fall the bolt knob a mass of rust....bit on front sight. Nothing else affected. No longer.mint, so I suppose I will play with fixing that after season.

Had been hoping it would be my crawling through Salal tunnels, imitating a beagle, blacktail bambi basher. Not likely if.it. rusts as.quick as a Stoeger shotgun.

Gongrats on the moose, I will definately never take mine moose hunting as there are way too many better options, but for short range deer absolutely. Now I just need to finish chopping that magazine so it sits flush and I can comfortably one handed carry it

I always wanted to give it a crack with 150’s but it seemed like a stunt

The 123's broke a shoulder blade and destroyed both lungs.Buddies loads his with RE#7 ..........I prefer H4198/25 or 25.5gr both cut 1/2" groups at 100 yards with Fed mag primer[opens to an inch with standard primer] 150gr /.311 Sierra /29gr -H335 Fed mag primer .80" groups at 100 yards. Also load 3gr -Bullseye /93gr Cast Tokarev istol bullet for chickens.Privi brass for all.

No doubt it works

I often bring it deer walking but we have yet to see one while together

One of the best groups I have shot with any rifle ever was off sandbags with smellier & Belliot SP ammo.

I have dies, 150s and appropriate powders but I can’t see any reason to reload for it atm when factory ammo is giving good groups and it will see 4 rounds of “ good” ammo a year.

I have some old norinco soft points that almost seem like they have a bimetal core, must be pretty effective penetration wise if that’s the case

Buddy used the Dominion bi-metal HP's a couple seasons prior for his daughter on deer and they worked fine out to 200 yards.
