Let's see some GHM9 conversions. Who else is running one of these?

I like it! How much did it cost (firearm, Dlask barrel, and handguard)?

It wasn’t cheap. I think the GHM9 is around $2k and the Dlask kit is about $1k, including their handguard and dummy suppressor. IMO, the Dlask handguard and dummy suppressor are not worth it. The barrel profile could also be lighter. In hindsight, I would have rather contracted Ian Herron (Herron Arms) to just make a nice barrel. The factory B&T handguard is good. I wish B&T made more of an effort to beef up the mounting area.

Unloaded, it’s 8lbs 6oz. Add a mag and an Aimpoint Micro and it’s over 9lbs. Pretty hefty for a 9mm carbine. Still very handy though. I’d like to reprofile the barrel.

Man that looks wicked. Definitely jealous of it.

Thanks! I recommend this project to anyone looking for a reliable non-res 9mm carbine.

That is a really nice setup PCC, what are the details on the parts? Specifically that handguard

Parts:

- BCM Pistol Grip. Minor fitting issue with the trigger guard, but I tightened her down and the plastic on the grip flexed
- BCM Vertical Grip. Have these on everything.
- B5 Sopmod Bravo Stock, on a Copper Custom adapter.
- Troy BUIS
- Surefire DF, Arisaka Mount, Cloud Defensive Switch holder. Have these on everything too. Great ambi set up.
- B&T Factory Carbine Handguard. Bought this off a dude who imported it from the US.
- The sling is from my company, Gear Dynamics.

- Folding Charging Handle is coming and it now has an Aimpoint T1. Tried an RMR in Scalarworks mount, but the mounts don’t fit right on the GHM9's low top rail.

- Also considering making a special lower receiver to allow Scorpion mags, mostly for fun and because I think it would be cool.

I really like your gun! I'm considering a similar build so am pleased to see yours. Re: Herron Arms for the barrel if you had to do it again, do you know if they've done GHM9s before?

Totally. Ian is the best. GHM9 is a simple threaded barrel, so no drama. He’s made a few more complicated projects for me in the past and they’ve turned out excellent. Highly recommended.

someone should totally make a tommy gun wood furniture kit for that thing.
It’s funny you say that, cause B&T has made another carbine, the KH9 which is very “tommy gun”. But you could totally make the GHM9 into a cool modern Thompson. Especially the .45 with the metal stick mags. ***EDIT....I guess the KH9 is prohib as a variant of the Spectre...lame***
