Well Monday November 30th was the last day for general whitetail in our area. It was just above zero degrees and a good morning for the final sit on stand.

Normally the coyote’s have been following the deer trails but that morning, from my right hand side and out of the thick aspens this coyote pops out not 30 yards from where I was on watch. We both looked at one another and then he took off running down the deer trail. By this time I had raised my rifle and for some reason, less than 65 yards away he stopped and turned to look at me.......for the last time.

Good size male, nice thick fur. Healthy. Taken with my Sako Finnfire in .17 HMR. Neck shot dropped him.

Healthy yote ! Should make good jerky!

Got a recipe to share ;)
What do you suggest to warsh that jerky down with?
Red or white, Scotch or Tequila ?
LMAO.

good job. passengerseven. the 17 hmr does a good job on those coyotes.

And people always decide to re-invent the wheel with "whats the best gun for (insert game animal here) threads" .

To all those yodel dog hunters Thank You for sharing your successes and not so successful hunts or opportunities !

LMAO.

Yote jerky needs to be washed down with low grade home made gin, but cheap Tequila would probably be fine.
