Norinco nz85b in stock at marstar

Does it match the standard 75/85 grip pattern? The shape of the back of the grip looks a little weird to me.

Yes they do; fit like a glove!! Only modification required is the hole is slightly undersized for the Nork screws. I don't recall, but I think I had to run a 1/8" drill bit through the grip hole; that was it. The CZ over-molded grips are made with a steel backing plate and a rubberized poly-urethane gripping surface. They also have a slight palm-swell and thumb depression which makes them extra comfortable. I advertised for some on the EE and before long, I had 3 pairs. I have hung on to one extra pair as I am still hoping someday to get the NP40 (CZ clone in .40 S & W); I have an all steel Jericho right now in .40, and it has a great trigger, but I do like the grips and feel of the NZ better.

The Wrap-around Hogue grips are a bit uncomfortable for me.

My trigger was really good from the factory; however after dry-firing a few hundred times and running 1000 rounds through it, the trigger is about perfect, and compares with a broken in CZ. BTW, my NZ had a tighter everything than a brand new CZ I looked at in a store. After 3000 rounds or so, it still is tight.

What is everyone using for holsters? I found that the contour of the slide is different than the CZ, and it is just too tight for CZ holseters. I ended up with an Uncle Mikes Reflex. A bit ugly, but works very well!

I bought a Cytac style one. It fits except that the trigger guard is slightly different and it won't lock in. I think I can fix it by reshaping the movable piece a little or openeing up the bottom corner of the trigger guard area of the holster but I havent got around to it yet. I think Norinco copied a Tanfoglio instead of the original CZ85B so that might be why they are slightly different.

Everyone's hands are different and we need to choose the grips that work. My hands are large and I really like the Hogue wrap around ones. I put a set on my Norc 1911 too and had some on the NP58 I traded for the 1911.

Your NP58; how did yours feed? Mine would only feed TCFP bullets; RN and RNFP were a no go; as were polymer coated. I replace mine with an all steel Jericho, and it feeds anything, but wish I could find a NP40 for a reasonable price.

There was an occasional FTF where the bullet seemed to hang up a bit on the feed ramp or exiting the mag. All I had to do was pull the slide back and release to get it to chamber. I thought about polishing the feed ramp or very slightly sanding or opening up the front lip of the magazine but ended up trading it before I got to it.

I did a lot of polishing, and blended the frame ramp to the barrel ramp as well, played with one mag a bit. Nothing I did affected the jamming issues. Always feeding, never extracting. Shame, because it was a good looking pistol and was very accurate.

Wonder what happened to the NZ85F in 7.62x25mm? Hope it still comes through.

Not on mine.

As soon as i got mine, I noticed how nicely finished it was everywhere, however before I shot it (based on experience with my Nork 1911) I put red lead tracing agent on the bottom of the slide, and noticed interference with the frame. A few minutes of attention with a die grinder inside the front end of the frame and that was fixed. Anyone who says Norks are lose has never held or used one.
