Does anyone still make fiber optic sights for SKS?

So far I found couple on the internet (Williams and Brownells I think), but they had all been discontinued...not quite sure why as the SKS is still a very popular rifle?

Was thinking of getting the front sight only.
Does anyone have any ideas where to get one, or is there any a workaround tips on this one?
Thank you.

Back when I was into VZ58's, I tried some of these on a couple of my VZ's. They did not perform like I was hoping and I sold them on the guns. A decent red dot sight is a more effective option. I get it if that is what you are trying to avoid though.

I always had no issues with the sks sights out to 200 yards. I feel like it might get muddled up if you messed with them.
On a side note, does a fibre optic sight double or triple the value of an sks these days?
Just saw a bubba hack job sks on the ee for $375 missing a rear sight. If a set of fibre optic sights were added, it’s got to be worth $1k at least...

I've been looking around for these and Hical-ca has them for $16.99 / set of 5 colors, but shipping is $20 so your over $40 with tax. BassPro has some sets for shotguns with 3 pipes and one f-sight mount for about $25 that I might try to cut down and S-glu to the OEM post. Or just paint it w-dayglo. Currently I've got mine painted White with Yellow Hi-liter on it. Works OK but the light-pipe might be better ??? I can hit a 6" target at 200yds, but the target has to 'stand out' on paper. 6" isn't very easy to see at that distance, so only about half my shots are 'on'. Some are just 'close' - 8-9" group. 4-5 MOA is OK for irons but better would be better. That issue about heat - would that have been barrel heat? If I run more than a couple mags in succession she gets pretty warm. A few minutes this time of the year and it's cooled down.

If it's a refurb, open up the rear notch similar to a Norwegian Mauser. Worked for me. I also added a small dab of liquid paper on the tip of the front sight post.

Why in the f@#$ have I never thought of using whiteout before! This would save me asking to borrow my friends wives nail polish lol.

And it's easily removable so that you can refresh it every so often. Remember, a simple file to the rear sight to create a U-shaped notch works wonders.
