I had one of those Single shots in 32-20, marvellous rifle.
The light strikes... in the last few years I've found the wrong oil will contribute to that. Seen a few oils that had some canola oil in it...these suck. Turns into varnish in about 1 year...maybe warm it with a blow dryer and give it a WD 40 bath... I've had luck with that.
Easy enough to do with that SS...one screw and pop it out of the wood.

I've had the bolt apart a couple times and cleaned it all up. The spring drags a bit on the firing pin. It may be the wrong spring, I can see no other problems. One day when I have time I will post this in the gunsmithing forum and look for help. I would really like to be able to use this rifle.

Hello - I have successfully used the Weaver bases (#46 F and #55 R) as mentioned above for the 1600 series or "look alike" actions by Husqvarana. I am now trying to mount a scope on a Model 4100 - but the scope does not have windage adjustment within the scope - a Hendsolt Diatal. I was able to come up with a Leupold 1 piece base as listed above - I apparently also have some "hen's teeth" on the way - a set of Leupold 26 mm STD rings. Does anyone know if Leupold makes or has made two piece STD bases for this receiver?? To be used instead of the STD-HC 49989 one-piece base listed above?
And, for the sharp-eyed, that scope originally had a mounting rail along the bottom. It had been removed by a previous owner, leaving the scope body "round" with 26 mm diameter. The company Zeiss apparently bought the Hensoldt company in Wetzler, Germany, and continued production at that facility, but marketed the "newer" version as the Zeiss Diatal scope.

They do not make a two piece set that would directly fit the 1600 series. There is the # 51263 made for the M/94/96/38 that would fit but will need an extra hole in the rear brdge, as per the hole pattern is is different to accomodate the "hump" of the rear bridge. The 1600 Std I pictured above use a Buehler base adjustable for windage and elevation, as per you can see by the dialed elevation rings... the scope is a Baush & Lomb without adjustment. Anyhow, if you don't mind drilling an extra hole, you can try that route...

I've got two Husqvarna lightweight 4100 rifles. One is in 7x57 from 1955 and one is a 270 from 1957. Or is it the other way around? Doesn't matter.
The 7x57 has an oiled wood stock and the 270 has a high gloss varnish finish.
Is the gloss stock factory or after factory finished?
Did Husqvarna put them out both ways?
