Hi all,

I know that .32 rimfire ammo is scarce as hen's teeth these days, but I have no idea just what it actually costs when you can find it. I just stumbled across an old feller with a few full boxes of Canuck .32 Short RF and one full box of .32 Long RF- he's in no need of it, and offered to sell it to me, but I have no idea what the fair price is for them.

Any ideas?

Last couple of boxes I bought were
considerably less just the boxes were in
poor condition.

Just I am a shooter not collector and
the boxes are not as important to me ..

For that sort of money, I'm surprised none of the niche ammunition manufacturers have opened a line making the stuff.

There are kits you can order from France that let you reload rimfires.

Called H C Collection.

https://www.hc-collection.com/rimfire-c102x335269

Basically its a heavy duty (so it is made to be reused) brass cartridge of the appropriate rimfire length and caliber.

It is cut with a hole in the base to accept a starter pistol blank like a primer for centerfire but offset to act as rimfire.

Insert the starter blank perhaps with glue to seal, add appropriate BP, insert bullet and shoot.

Then remove starter blank, clean and inspect case and reload. etc etc

Lets you reload for rimfire like 32 38 and 41 etc

Comes with a kit with the hand reloading gear that you can add cases and bullets to.

Problem is you have to find your own starter blanks as they cannot ship those to you.

They also have pinfire and obsolete centerfire kits. :)

The 9 rounds in that box appear to be 32 S&W or 32 Colt........can only see 1 base but it is a cf. I believe there is also a good chance some of them won't fire. If they were 32rf shorts about $3 each.

I have like 3 full boxes of the 32 rf longs and a couple shorts to id part with if anyone is looking for some have some 41 rf as well full box

As Milancanzar mentioned, kits to reload .32 rimfire are available. If you go to the duelist1954 site, host Mike Beliveau describes how to load .32 rimfire ammo, using one of these kits. The information should be useful. May have to search back a bit, though.

Exactly, just do a production run once a year or so to keep cost down and price high :)

How hard can it be besides getting the govt approvals and insurance etc, it's just like a big 22 lr :)
