I have been collecting/sourcing parts for my AR projects and since there were multiple projects going the progress was painfully slow.

Here's one of them, my version of short barreled AR.

Components

• Stag Lower
• LMT - 10.5 Upper
• DD 12.0 FSP Rail
• Aimpont Comp ML3 - 2 MOA
• Aimpoint 3X Magnifier
• Pentagon Light
• Troy Buis

I wanted to cover as much of KX3 as possible DD rail accommodated most of the KX3 and allowed me to retain the fixed sight base.

Rail itself doesn't weight a lot its the light and the optics that add the most weight.

I was never a fan of the way KX3 looked at the end of the barrel so I wanted to cover it and made the KX3 appear more natural.

Maybe you should have gone with the complete rail and utilized some front flip up sights. I have the fixed front sites on my ar with my aimpoint and I'm looking for a complete rail so at least i'm not cowitnessing everytime.

I wanted to retain the fixed front sight. With the Aimpoint or the Eotech I don't mind fixed front sight.

My SPR however has a 9X scope and folding front sight.
