Hydro lines for coyotes

While I don't deliberately seek out hydro lines for calling coyotes, if the wind, terrain, and tracks indicate it would likely work, I would absolutely use a hydro line.

Most of the time I prefer to have a much "wider" field of view from my set up because coyotes quite often seem to do what I don't think they will do when I make my brilliant and devious plan, and I would expect that along a hydro line most coyotes will stay in the bush on one side or the other until they can get down wind of the sound. Very few would walk out into the cut line and then run towards the sound from a distance.

If you're going to hunt coyotes on a hydro line, just make your set a little more attractive to draw them out. I use a Mojo Critter or two, but I also place crow decoys (full body) around the Mojo Critter; now you've given the coyote a little more incentive to come out of the wood line and investigate. It's worked for me, but as mentioned above, watch the wind!

Just my two cents...

Oh I like this tactic.
