Newest Kalashnikov: could it be NR?

Which makes me wonder if it would get unbanned with the OIC challenges for dumb ####tery. Maybe we'll end up with a whole litany of rifles being unbanned "because reasons"

Lol. I guess the worst that can happen is disappointment if you're hoping for that to happen. But you're gonna be disappointed, just sayin.

You all forgot the Libtard favourite word:

VARIANT

If it has a barrel, a trigger, and u puts yer bullets in a clipazine it’s is a variant of other scary assault “style” military grade weapons and well it is prohib cuz some low IQ high forehead libtard said so.

i was always under the impression that the kalashnikov name was banned by default so that anything that they manufactured was automatically prohibited? correct me if im wrong.

One word blaze 47

If it looks like an ak I must prohib it

Recently retarded... hum retired... sorry I’m french I always mix these two, won’t happen again in the next 30 minutes I promise...

I wonder, if this model could be built in Canada from parts kit or even from scratch.. Similar to how AKs are being built in the US by different shops. It is very close to SIG/Famae/M10X line, so theoretically it can be approved as NR if submitted by a Canadian company under a different name

Doesn’t matter. There is ban on Russian imports.

This is what americans do with Russian AKs, they're "made" in America

There is a ban on Russian imports, period. Doesn’t matter if it’s a parts kit or whatever. I suppose someone could try doing grey market imports via a third country but I wouldn’t risk it.

We need our own firearms industry that will design and produce sporting rifles. I know its a lot to ask, but until we get our own stuff made here in Canada, we are going to be supporting some other country's economy and their firearms industry.
Prohibiting new stuff is government's knee jerk reaction to cut funds going out from Canada to manufacturing sectors of other countries.
Instead they should support our own industry and factories that make and produce stuff.
But I'm dreaming I guess

Kalashnikov's newest civilian-market AKV-521 is a new split-receiver design and looks different enough from the AK platform to be considered a different design, it looks a lot like the M+M10X. Could this possibly pass the test as a non-AK variant?

A-utomatic K-alashnikov V-ariant...
