Healthcare is NOT free. Over half of your income taxes go to healthcare, either directly or indirectly. We are grossly over paying for the mediocre service we get.

I never said it was "free". I was responding to the comment that we would live longer with Republicans and Conservatives. They would never have brought in public healthcare. Do you think any Republicans in the US give a crap about providing healthcare to their citizens? Public healthcare was a product of the left and we all enjoy it's benefits. How many people go bankrupt in the US dealing with severe illnesses that you get treated for simply by paying your taxes? Will you think you over paid when you need cancer treatment or major surgery etc that ends up costing our neighbours to the south hundreds of thousands of dollars they need to find or they die? Or they lose everything in bankruptcy just to stay alive?

Frankly, this is the aspect of the firearms community I can't stand. The ideology and polarized politics. Left, right, blah blah blah. Both sides have their good ideas and bad ideas and both sides have done a crap job of governing. if you want to criticize or discuss specific issue or policies I'm all for that, but the whole liberals evil, conservatives good thing is tiresome and ignorant.

Out of curiosity, what is the total mileage on your NZ? My concern would be that they use roll pins almost everywhere. CZ pistols use solid pins in the hammer assembly and firing pin stop. I heard NZ will chew through the firing pin stop after about 5-6 k cycles, which is not a lot if you dry fire practice.

I have an NZ85 and I'd be surprised if CZ85 compatible solid pins didn't fit as replacements. I know the front sight pin does as I replaced the roll pin with a solid one when I put a new sight on mine. So if one breaks just upgrade it upon replacement.

Read the quote below and tell me where you DID NOT say free? let me help you by highlighting it for you. And no, our healthcare is not cheap either. You may pay little or nothing in premiums but that doesn't mean healthcare is cheap.

Your parroted rant about US healthcare is old and tiring. Our healthcare system does not work and is grossly in debt. The level of service we receive is not inline with the amount of money(taxes) we pay to receive it. The vast majority of Americans have healthcare coverage. And the poor(and often stupid who don't prioritize their health over fast food and luxuries) also receive healthcare, it's called medicaid. Yes, without medical benefits you may not get a knee replaced, a brace, or the best cancer treatment. You will however received a ride to the hospital and receive immediate medical care, just ask a scumbag who get's shot on the street. Not one was left to die because they failed to produce a benefits card.

You would likely not have free or inexpensive healthcare so many would not live longer.

It is free in the sense that you don't pay extra for most care beyond your taxes. And our drug costs are controlled and much lower than in the US. The system works pretty well considering it is underfunded and under staffed. There are long waits for some elective procedures but when my mother had cancer (twice) whe was attended to quickly and well and is still alive. Her hip replacement and ensuing difficulties afterwards were also covered including a whole pile of rehab etc. And just wow, the poor are also stupid? Many can't afford health insurance because they are forced to work a couple minimum wage jobs that aren't even a living wage. Forget being able to make out of pocket expenses. Many in Canada barely make a living wage too but their health care is subsidized by those that do make much more. I don't mind paying taxes to help take care of others in my community. It's called being a caring and decent society.

Now if you have cancer in the US you are looking at out of pocket and co-pay costs. The average patient pays between $6,000 and $10,000 per year out of pocket when premiums, deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance were factored in. If a patient needs out-of-network care or a treatment that’s not covered by their insurance plan, the costs only get worse. High co-insurance, deductibles, occasional out-of-network care, and uncovered treatments add up, even for those with good health inmsurance. That doesn't even include some of the drug costs. Newly approved drugs can cost up to $10,000 per month, and patients are expected to pay 20-30% of these costs. That means a year’s worth of these new drugs could cost $24,000 to $36,000 out of pocket

Here's an example of what can happen with a heart attack:

"Drew Calver, 44, of Austin, Texas, had a heart attack last year, resulting in a four-day emergency hospital stay, according to a report from Kaiser Health News. Despite having health-care coverage, he wound up with the six-figure bill — thanks to a practice known as “balance billing.” In balance billing, medical providers that are out of network are unable to reach an agreement with the insurer on a reasonable price for service. In turn, the patient ends up on the hook for the remainder.

And while true that if you are brought into a hospital with life threatening injurues they are legally bound to treat you. But what often happens is they will do the minimum to stabilize you until you can be transferred to a cheaper, charity funded hospital where the level of care you recieve is often lower. Often they will send your bill to collections where you are then harrassed for years or forced to declare bankruptcy. It's not just scumbags shot on the street but could be someone hit by a car or suffering some other accident or having a stroke or heart attack etc. Your empathy for your fellow man is amazing.

Drive a north american car or truck? If so, you are buying a high percentage of Chinese parts and components. Shop at Canadian Tire; Walmart; TSC; you are buying Chinese every day!

Stop it!!!

Now!!!

yes sure every store sells china, but also products made in other countries, veitnam, cambodia and so on, I look at labels only buy china when nothing else is available, or do without, they can keep their norincos....

I agree with you 100%!!

Which brings me to the final answer regarding a "budget" 9mm. The NZ85B Nork clone of the CZ has been unavailable for at least two years; Marstar now has them in stock for $339.00. I bought mine about 4 years ago and paid the going rate of $399.00, and I am still convinced I bought not only the right pistol for me, but my life-time keeper 9mm. I have shot a few CZs, and love them; but they NZ has just as nice a single and double action trigger as they do, and I shoot equally well with both the real thing and the Nork. The worst part about the Nork was the hard plastic grips, but it is easy to pick up a set of CZ stock overmolded take off grips, and they fit right on. Fit and finish on mine is amazing as well; mine has a blued frame and satin chrome slide. Theirs are all blued. Mine has thousands of rounds through it and no issues; running 4 nork mags as well, and they work great too!!

Most who have these feel just the same as I do I think, because you hardly ever see them on the EE here or elsewhere.

I've been on the fence about the nz85b for a while now. I also noticed marstar has them in stock. Almost bought one during black friday. After I read this post...I think I'll pull the trigger if they have a boxing day sale... Unless someone wants to sell me theirs? I'll give my money to you then and not China. Then I'll sleep better knowing I did my part to avoid supporting China. Instead I'll just work and pay taxes and have someone else decide how to spend my money.

I love chinese food. Or is it canadian food made by canadian people from China? China China China

Anyway, there are people on here saying you can buy a cz sp01 for 500? Ha... I've been looking and I haven't seen one. I've never bought a brand new firearm. I could get the nz85b on sale from marstar shipped to my door for $425. That's a good price for a new pistol these days.

Darn near everything fits. Just put a set of Tanfoglio springs in mine. Grip screws are different though.

No Effing way you are getting mine!!!

I just put a reduced compression hammer spring in, and the trigger pull... I can't believe the difference!! Need to wait till after lock down to see if it will detonate S & B primers. I also put in a 10 lb recoil spring as I load light. for PPC.

It's official. I'm not on the fence. I'll buy one next sale. I love the idea of an all steel hammer firearm that I can swap out parts from the well known cz. I've had polymer guns. And still have a walther ppq which I love. But for a fraction of the cost, that's more to spend on ammo.

S&B primers are fine . I've used them . from what I have heard Federal primers are supposed to be the most sensitive .

A 13 lbs mainspring in a CZ75 design should detonate S&B primers with 99.7% reliability.
Shadowline has been 100% reliable, Shadow 1 and Shadow 2 may throw 1-4 light primer strikes per 1000.
Federal 100%
Winchester Match 100% so far (less than 1000 fired)

I also have a 13 LB; I'm hoping that the hammer has enough mass to do the job with the 10 lb. I have had some issues with S & B primers in my GP100.

Meroh, 5.45 and other knowledgeable CGNrs
Where did you guys get your springs for the NZ replacementand for what model / modif ?)
my NZ is stock minus the CZ rubber grips. No complaints. SA is awesome only after 200 rounds. DA still a lot to be desired.....

CZ p10F are 500$ at tenda. I have one coming to compare to my P10C

But any CZ at a good sale for sure.

And again. WHERE POSSIBLE I avoid Chinese products.

Yes, none of my guns, holsters, belts, slings, optics(save for 1 PA prism) are made in China. I'm a fan of owning less Chinese junk and go with fewer quality items. Same goes for guns. Unfortunately societt has serious problem with an insatiable appetite for having more sh*t. Most of which is sh*t. It's why Walmart is successful. Endless aisles of cheap sh*t, all of which fools the masses into believing they an have more because the prices are so low. Having more cheap sh*t is the same as having nothing.
China has the knowledge, machinery and know how to make anything and better yet , they can make it top quality the problem is they can also make it cheaper so blame the manufacturer and not China itself . The manufacturer chooses the quality China will produce the item in , its not chinas fault everyone is cheap and wants to make lots of money .
That said , I don’t advocate for products being made there it is just an FYI of their capabilities
