Nope it just so happened I was so busy I didn't notice the e-mail coming in and then I received many other e-mails and never noticed till I decided to clean up my mailbox. I was kinda pissed I missed it but oh well hopefully I get the card in the mail soon. I think some people here received their card like 2 weeks after the application went online so let's hope it comes soon.

Question for checking pal status online

Application went in the mail on Dec 16th.
I got the online application check for the rcmp for the status, and i keep getting the message "we dont have that info, youre too early, come back later"
Has anyone else experienced this/when can i access the status of my application?
Or is it once they charge my credit card, THEN they will update and post that info?

Application won't be visible until they get to it after the 4ish months so yea it's normal.
2 questions:
How do i know if the application was received?
Once the application is received and our pal is issued waiting in the mail, can we call rcmp for our pal number so dont have to wait until it physically arrives if we want to do a online purchase?

so they work 7 days a week? i thought it was just monday to friday.
Or is it like other government that took the monday (28th) off for boxing day.
They were off the 28th for Boxing Day, I called in today and they were back in.
My application was received the 1st week of October and I was told they are VERY close to processing it. A wonderful lady helped me and did everything she could to try to give me as much info as possible. She said a lot of times if everything checks out on your application its roughly 4 days from the CC charge to issuing your license. Take that with a grain of salt though. Fingers crossed I get it sometime in January.

gheeze louise I passed my RCFSC on Nov 15th and still haven't even gotten my papers to APPLY for my RPAL yet!
You can send it in w/o course report and fax the course report later when the application shows up on the website (to get the application id#) if you want to save a lot of time. It does not add much (if any) delay it seems as my lic still ended up being issued 2 days after showing up on the website even though I faxed in course report (ON has a much longer delay than that though.)
The stickied thread has some more info too but is mostly outdated, especially with COVID.

Dec 18, 2020 - Credit card changed & showing online - "initial process complete, in progress"
Dec 23, 2020 - Called and spoke with CFP staff; everything with my application was fine, it's just in the hands of the provincial CFO (for SK) and to wait.
Dec 30, 2030 - still showing "initial process complete, in progress"

Well, they say its 5 years back on the background check, but is a lie, they go from when you were born, problmes as teenager, police interactions, they wanna make sure youre good up in the coconut.
If makes you feel better, im from Mexico, so my background check is gonna probably take longer, even though i did a deep background check when they got my fingerprints to give me my PR
