just for interest's sake, i though it would ask how many people would like to see ruger bring the 44 automatic rifle back? i think its really a great setup and would love to own one.

I have one, very reliable and as accurate as any 30/30 I've had. Would also like to see the tube fed model made again but a 357 mag version added.

If Ruger built another semi .44 they would probably go along the line of the PCC or some other tactical styled rig, I would prefer they bring back the deerfield or the tube fed carbine, I think they would sell very well.

i think they would sell well also. really a very sensible rifle, effective and fun. would also be a great camp rifle

I am very fortunate to have one that I bought when I was 16. I needed a good deer rifle but didn't have a ton of money. Paid Mr Karl Oortmans (RIP) $240 for it. Its a "never sell". Tube mag "finger groove" model that is responsible for the 10 pointer I have stuffed and on the wall in my den.

Yes, I inquired about this with ruger, a detachable mag version using desert eagle magazines sounded like a real posibility

I have one of the older Ruger tube fed semi's in 44 mag. Beautiful light, handy wee rifle, have had it for decades, would not trade for its weight in gold. A simple rifle with clean lines that works. A gun Ruger should definitely bring back into the line up. But they would probably screw it up by adding all sorts of BS to keep the millennials happy.

Dam that thing is in really good shape . you must have refinished the stock or you were a well behaved 16 year old . I have never owned one but a former friend had one and used to use it for deer hunting . the 44 magnum cartridge is good for many things.
